Twitter is the Brain, Facebook is the Heart

When you want to catch up big time on the latest news of your interest? You open your Tweeter.
When you want to catch up major on the feelings of those close to you? You check Facebook.

Depending on to which organ (brain or heart) you want to cater the bulk of your social media marketing to. Put just a bit more effort into the appropriate platform.

Twitter is more in demand for news. While Facebook is more in demand for feeling what people you know are feeling or trying to express.
Unsure if that’s the truth?
Where do you go first when you want to share knowledge?
Which app do you open when you want to share events in your life?

True – Facebook and Twitter may overlap. Both can be preferred mediums for spreading and learning news. Both are mediums for feeling out the social mood and the who-did-what.

Twitter is much better for finding your most relevant news.
Facebook simply isn’t as good at delivering as much content of your interest.

Tweeter is better at delivering info that you care about than Facebook

On the other hand, if you’re in the mood for feeling out people, their emotions and preferences – Facebook is better. Naturally – you are more interested in feeling out/understanding people you know.

(Facebook has more personalization options than Twitter, and that already says a lot)

What is the nature of your product? If it has to do with intellectual value, favor Twitter. If it has to do with personality value, favor Facebook.
